Five PUSD Elementary Schools Earn PBIS Distinction

John J. Doyle Elementary School and Roche Avenue Elementary School have been awarded Silver status by the California PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) Coalition for successful PBIS implementation. The honor reflects excellence in the measurement of fidelity as well as efforts in implementing the core features of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports.

Olive Street Elementary School, Santa Fe Elementary School and Vandalia Elementary School also were honored as the schools achieved Bronze status.

All five PUSD schools will be honored in October during the 2nd Annual California PBIS Coalition Conference in Sacramento on October 11 and 12.

PBIS is a framework for enhancing the adoption and implementation of a continuum of evidence-based interventions to achieve academically and behaviorally important outcomes for all students. PUSD schools are implementing PBIS in classrooms to build a positive culture to enhance students’ academic success.
