The Granite Hills High School ACE (Academy of Careers in Education) Pathway has earned NAF Distinguished status, the highest level of certification that reflects a high-quality academic program on a national level.
The ACE Pathway provides a diverse learning environment for students. Through hands-on experiences, rigorous academic programs, and college classes, ACE students become prepared to be the future leaders in education. The ACE Pathway motto is: We are growing our own teachers for the future.
“I am so thankful for the assistance from the PUSD Pathways office, wisdom of the ACE Advisory Board members, dedication of the ACE teachers & staff, and our awesome students.” ACE Pathway Lead Teacher Rich Lambie said. “Without all of the support, none of this would be possible.”
This is the seventh PUSD Pathway to earn Distinguished status since the start of the PUSD Pathways program in 2008. During this past school year, there were only 14 Distinguished academies in the state of California, and 135 Distinguished academies nationwide.
“The ACE Pathway exemplifies what a high-quality pathway looks like.” PUSD Director of Student Pathways Cynthia Brown said. “The work could not be possible without teachers, administrators, and local/community partners. We are overjoyed by this news and excited to see students succeed as future educators.”
The ACE Pathway joins AOE (Academy of Engineering) Pathway at Harmony Magnet Academy, APA (Academy of Performing Arts) Pathway at Harmony Magnet Academy, PAHS (Porterville Academy of Health Sciences) Pathway at Porterville High School, PAB (Partnership Academy of Business & Finance) Pathway at Porterville High School, LJE (Academy of Law, Justice, and Ethics) Pathway at Granite Hills High School, and EAT (Academy of Emerging Agricultural Technology) Pathway at Strathmore High School as Distinguished NAF Academies.
Every PUSD Pathway must continue to meet Distinguished standards set forth by NAF on an annual basis.
