The Porterville City Library will be holding a free six-week skill-building program, beginning in June for current kindergarten students (students who will be in the first grade for the 2019-20 school year). The program will be held in the Margaret J. Slattery Children's Library at the Heritage Center (256 E. Orange Ave.).
Registration is free and sessions will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Open registration begins on Sunday (April 28) through Sunday (May 26).
Classes will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a free lunch from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., from June 10 through July 19, Monday through Friday.
