Porterville Unified School District has scheduled kindergarten & preschool registration for the district’s ten elementary schools. In accordance with the Kindergarten Readiness Act (Senate Bill 1381), students reaching the age of 5 on or before September 1, 2024 can enroll in kindergarten, but those students reaching the age of 5 by June 2, 2025, will be enrolled in a Universal Transitional Kindergarten (UTK) program, which is a two-year program. TK/Preschool Programs are offered at most elementary sites and 3-and 4-year-old students may enroll in those preschool programs.
In-person registration will begin on January 11. Here are the sites and dates:
